Xin Ying Lim is a PhD candidate at the Leverhulme Centre for Water Cultures, specialising in Early Modern English literature and Indigenous history. Her research develops anti-colonial and Indigenous-centred approaches to Shakespeare, challenging the universality of Eurocentric cultural norms. She is also the founder of the Indigenising Shakespeare Speaker Series, which foregrounds Indigenous and allied scholars and practitioners working to disrupt Shakespeare’s canonical status.
