Xiao He is a writer and researcher dedicated to telling stories that bridge cultures and open conversations between East and West. With a background in East Asian Studies, Social Anthropology, and classical Chinese literature, Xiao explores how history, aesthetics, and everyday life intertwine across time and place. Their work blends academic insight with creative storytelling, aiming to make overlooked histories and cultural experiences more accessible, meaningful, and alive to broader audiences.
Xiao is currently a registered MA student in the Department of East Asian Studies of University of Toronto; she is also working as a Graduate Student Library Assistant at the Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library, University of Toronto.
