Xi Wen (Carys) Chan

Dr Xi Wen (Carys) Chan is a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources at Griffith University's Department of Management. Her research focuses on the work–life interface, return-to-work after injury/illness, self-efficacy, work-related stress and burnout, and neurodiversity in the workplace, utilising both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She has secured close to A$3.8 million in external funding from organisations including the Australian Research Council, Queensland Government, ACT Audit Office, and Safe Work Australia. Recent recognitions include 2024 Wiley Top Cited Papers, the 2022 Emerald Literati Outstanding Paper Award, 2022 ANZAM-European Management Journal ECR Award, and 2025 GBS PVC Excellence of a Mid-Career Researcher (Highly Commended). She is Associate Editor for International Journal of Stress Management and Special Issues Editor for Personnel Review. Prior to entering academia, she worked at CPA Australia, KPMG Advisory, VTB Capital, Thomson Reuters, and Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, amongst others.
