Xavier Morin is a CNRS researcher, working on biogeography, community ecology and climate change impacts on forests. He has gained a strong expertise in tree species distribution modelling, has introduced the use of forest dynamics models in the ‘biodiversity-ecosystem functioning’ field, and has recently led studies linking forest management and climate change. He is involved in several scientific committees of structures linking research and forest actors at the national level, and is connected with forest NGO actors.
