Willie Burger

Willie Burger is a scholar and teacher of Afrikaans literature. He is a well-known academic, literary critic and writer. His research centres, among other things, on literary theory, narrativity, narratology, aesthetic effect, modernism in South African literature, world literature and comparative literature. He has served as head of the Afrikaans department at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Pretoria since 2010.
