Dr. Whitney Monaghan is a Lecturer in Film, Screen and Culture at Monash University. She researches LGBTQ+ screen media and is the author of Queer Girls, Temporality and Screen Media: Not ‘Just a Phase’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016) and co-author of Queer Theory Now: From Foundations to Futures (Macmillan International Higher Education, 2019) and Australian Queer Screens (Bloomsbury, 2026).
