Vrinda Nair is a research assistant in the physics department at Concordia University and is currently working on the design of small-molecule drugs using computational tools. Her project focuses on Antibiotic Resistance (ABR) and aims to develop new computationally informed antibiotics. She holds a Bachelor of Technology and a Master of Technology in biotechnology, and was awarded the Young Investigator Award for her bachelor's thesis project on the production of biocolours. She served as the treasurer of the Forum on Graduate Student Affairs (FGSA) at the American Physical Society. She is a published poet, artist, science communicator, and STEM mentor. She actively supports many causes, such as women in STEM and sci-artists, and has worked with various organisations. Her research is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Canada Research Chairs (CRC), and Concordia University. She also received a Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship and did her internship at Molecular Forecaster Inc. (a RaaS biotech company).
