I am a Professor of International Business at the University of Sydney Business School and the Founding Director of the Emerging Markets Research Group. My research focuses on the internationalisation strategies of firms from emerging markets, global strategy, institutional change, and the strategic responses of multinational enterprises to uncertainty and geopolitical shifts. I have published extensively in leading international business and management journals, including the Journal of Management Studies, Journal of World Business, International Business Review, and other highly ranked journals.

I am currently Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Management and have previously held senior editorial roles with journals including Management and Organization Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, and Cross Cultural & Strategic Management. I have also held academic appointments or visiting roles at institutions including Bocconi University, Stanford University, and the University of Reading. My teaching and executive education work focuses on global business, emerging markets, international strategy, and strategy-making under uncertainty.
