I am Professor of Co-Design and Primary Care Mental Health in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Melbourne. I established a Co-Design Living Labs program in 2017 with near to 2000 members with lived-experience of mental ill-health and emotional distress who take part in end to end research design to translation through the research and networks of the ALIVE National Centre. We operate an Implementation and Translation Network, and a Next Generation Researcher Network with the Lived Experience Research Collective to grow research capacity. Our work is focused on community led models of prevention across the lifecourse to account for missed life years in priority populations and implement responses to structural inequalities.
