I have 12 years of experience working in the food service sector and an MSc in Food Science and Technology from Cardiff Metropolitan University. In 2021 I was awarded the first ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre scholarship to undertake PhD research focused on determining the food safety culture in the hospitality and catering sector utilizing real-time data and novel Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
From 2025 I have been working on a project exploring consumer practices related to air fryer usage in the domestic kitchen on the island of Ireland.
My research interests relate to food safety behaviour and cognition of food handlers in domestic and food service environments.
