Vera Moerbeek

I did a double bachelor physics and mathematics at the University of Amsterdam. Then I did a Master in physics, specializing in theoretical physics, at the Universtity of Amsterdam. During this I did an Erasmus Exchange in Barcelona, where I participated in the Master Quantum Science and Technology organized by the UB, UAB and UPC and, to move my carreer into the direction of sustainable energy, I followed an additional course on photothermic, photovoltaic and thermoelectric solar energy of the Master Renewable Energy and Energetic Sustainability of the UB. Following, I did a half-year internship at ICFO, the Catalan Institute of Photonics in the Thermophotovoltaics group with Dr. Georgia Papadakis. To finish my studies, I conducted a master project with Prof. Jasper van Wezel. Currently I'm doing my PhD at PROMES, a research institute of the University of Perpignan Via Domitia, in the research area of thermophotovoltaics, with Dr. Alexis Vossier, Dr. Maxime Giteau and Dr. Rodolphe Vaillon of LAAS Toulouse.
