My research focuses on global power dynamics in communication, including communication for development, public diplomacy and media representations. I'm especially interested in these dynamics across the Asia Pacific region and the African continent. I conducted my PhD research in Hong Kong and South Africa, where I examined Chinese and American media outlets acting as public diplomacy mechanisms in the Global South.
