Valentina Di Santo

Dr. Valentina Di Santo is a fish ecophysiologist and biomechanist whose research investigates the mechanistic basis of locomotion and its physiological limits in changing environments. She combines experimental physiology, biomechanics, and quantitative analysis to understand how fishes cope with thermal, chemical, and hydrodynamic stressors.

She received her PhD from Boston University and completed postdoctoral training at Harvard University. Dr. Di Santo is currently an Assistant Professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego.
