Dr Tyler Riordan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Strategic Management at UQ Business School. His research examines precarious work, inequities, and ethical issues in business and society. In his current role, he is evaluating post-disaster reconstruction incentivisation programs against physical, financial, social, and emotional dimensions of resilience.

Tyler’s broader research has investigated precarity in digital platform (‘gig’) work, the resilience of hospitality and tourism organisations and workforces, and how marginalised cohorts navigate training and employment programs. Tyler holds a PhD from UQ Business School, where he utilised an ethnographic approach to examine the interactions and experiences of app-based food delivery cyclists.
