  • Associate Professor, Centre for Comparative Welfare Studies Green Societies, Aalborg University

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Politics and Society at Aalborg University. My research focuses on political attitudes and values, particularly how people think about migration, and the green transition. I am affiliated with the Centre for Comparative Welfare Studies (CCWS) and the Green Societies initiative.

My work explores how social and political divides shape public support for key policy areas such as climate change, redistribution, and energy. I have published on topics like attitudes to nuclear power, support for climate taxes on air travel and beef, and how migrants’ views on taxation and redistribution relate to cultural and institutional backgrounds. Much of my research uses survey data and comparative analysis to understand long-term changes in values and policy preferences.

I earned my PhD at Aalborg University with the dissertation The Dynamics of Stability: How Processes of Policy Feedback Help Reproduce Support for the Nordic Welfare Model. I also contributed to the book Usikker Modernitet – Danskernes værdier fra 1981 til 2017, which examines value change in Denmark over several decades.

Overall, my research is driven by an interest in how societies sustain public support for major policy transformations in an era of growing polarization and uncertainty.
