Tracy Sherwood Washington

Dr Tracy Washington is a Senior Lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning at the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Faculty of Engineering at Queensland University of Technology. As an Exercise Scientist, her transdisciplinary research focuses on the intersection of the built environment, transportation, and health outcomes. Currently, Tracy leads a series of e-bike studies examining adoption and use. Her work on active transport interventions and e-bike uptake has influenced policy changes, including state-level financial incentives to promote e-mobility. Presently, she is investigating the outcomes of these incentives. Tracy's research emphasises creating environments that support active living and enhance health and well-being.
