Tracey Holmes is an Industry Professor of Sport and the Media for Queensland University's Office of 2032 Games Engagement, with a wealth of experience and knowledge from the sports and journalism industries.
In 2021, Tracey was awarded the Women and Sports Award from the International Olympic Committee for her contribution to reporting on women’s sport, and her work providing mentorship for the next generation of female sporting journalists.
In 2023 received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Australian Sports Commission.
In 2026 she founded the Sports Ambassadors Network Australia, launched in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with other chapters to be unveiled in global cities where significant numbers of Australian professionals working in the sports industry are located.
Tracey is an independent journalist and host of The Sports Ambassador podcast focussed on the intersection of sport with geopolitics and culture, as well as sports governance, integrity and equality.
Tracey’s work across Australia, and internationally, makes her one of the most recognised and listened to voices in the sports sphere where she is also an experienced board member and has worked in sports administration.
