Torbjörn Forslid

My research in recent years has focused on the role of literature in the public sphere, i.e. how different actors in society use and engage with – and not least debate – literature from different points of view and for different purposes. Above all, I have been interested in the modern mediatized role of the author.

In this research I have collaborated with Anders Ohlsson at SOL. Together we have published several studies, including "The Björn Ranelid Phenomenon" (2009), "The Public Disclosures of Literature" (2009) (ed. TF/AO) and most recently "The Author as Celebrity" (2011).
