- PhD Candidate, Sociology, Faculty of Education and Arts, Australian Catholic University
I am a PhD candidate researching the neurodiversity movement and its applicability to nonspeaking autistic individuals.
My lived experience of discrimination and exclusion has driven my advocacy journey to "bat for" the autistic community, especially for nonspeakers (a sizeable 33% of the total autistic population).
Professionally, I am a non-executive director of Reframing Autism, a not-for-profit advocacy organisation, since its establishment in 2019. Through my advocacy work, I am fortunate to meet many outstanding advocates, autistic and non-autistic, some of whom became my mentors.
