My research focusses on the culture and politics of the independent Irish state, between c. 1922-1973. I have presented research at numerous conferences in Great Britain, Ireland, the USA and Spain, and have published articles in journals such as the Conversation, Éire-Ireland and Seznam Zpravy. I am currently working on a British Academy-funded research project on gender in neutral Ireland during the Second World War.
