Tilanka Chandrasekera

Dr. Tilanka Chandrasekera is the Christine Salmon Endowed Professor in the Department of Design and Merchandising at Oklahoma State University, where he also serves as Associate Department Head and Director of the Mixed Reality Lab. A trained architect with diverse experience in design, he holds a PhD in Architectural Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His research centers on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on their applications in design education and practice. Dr. Chandrasekera collaborates with Native American tribes on culturally sensitive design projects and spearheads initiatives in STEM education, aging-in-place design, and rural community development.
