Theodora Moutsiou

Dr Moutsiou is a leader in the field of Archaeology with an impressive track record for her career opportunities. She has led, as Project Coordinator and Principal Investigator, five competitively-funded interdisciplinary research projects (PRENET, PLEICY, PLACe, PICROLITE, MIGRATE) that fostered strong synergies and innovation in the study of prehistoric mobility, sociality and island archaeology. She is a Sector Leader in large-scale projects, such as ArchaeoGLOBE (https://archaeoglobe.com/) and the Western Cyprus Survey. She has an outstanding record of over twenty years of field experience, ranging from Middle Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age and from Europe to Africa and Australia, applied in mentoring the next generation of archaeologists. She is active internationally in terms of service to the scientific community participating in key roles in scientific associations, committees and conference organisation. She is an invited adjunct member of the James Cook University, Cairns, Australia and the Max Planck Institute for Geoanthropology, Jena, Germany.
