Thembi Mason

Dr Thembi Mason is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at RMIT University, Melbourne. Her teaching and research centre on the integration of technology and pedagogy to support learning in schools and universities, with a focus on teacher education, digital technologies, professional learning and pedagogical innovation. Thembi explores how teachers and pre-service teachers design purposeful, ethical and student-centred learning with technologies, including generative artificial intelligence. She is particularly interested in future-focused pedagogy, student agency and engagement, digital literacy, and the tensions that emerge when educational technologies are shaped by policy, public debate, institutional expectations and classroom realities.
