Teviet Creighton is a theoretical astrophysicist. His dissertation covered topics ranging from possible signatures of pre-Big-Bang implosion to the gravitational effects of passing tumbleweeds on precision measurements. He has worked extensively with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) and the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA). Since taking up a position at the University of Texas at Brownsville, he has become involved in radio astronomy and space technology through the STARGATE project, a public-private partnership between UT Brownsville and SpaceX.
