An Associate Professor and long-standing researcher at the Centre for Social Development in Africa, Tessa Hochfeld is a social worker by training and has extensive research and project management skills in the area of social protection, social policy, and gender and development. She has a PhD in development studies from Wits University, an MSc in gender and development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA Social Work from Wits University.
