Teresa Senserrick

Teresa Senserrick PhD AFHEA (Indigenous Knowledge) is a Professor in the School of Psychological Science located on Whadjuk Noongar country. She is the Director of the Western Australian Centre for Road Safety Research, a joint initiative of The University of Western Australia and the WA Road Safety Commission.

She has focused her research on road safety since 1999, in consecutive positions in Australian and United States university or affiliated research centres, with projects spanning mutliple high- and low-to-middle-income countries.

With her training in developmental psychology, she has particular interest in increasing the safety of youth and young adults as new drivers and motorcycle riders and of children travelling around schools.

She is best known for her expertise in road safety education, training and licensing systems, with a particular focus on equity and transport justice for First Peoples. Most recently she has overseen Honours students projects to increase equity in licence access for neurodivergent youth.
