My research considers how legislation and policy implementation affected education for children with cerebral palsy and related disabilities during the second half of the twentieth century.

I am examining the history of two organisations, Cerebral Palsy Midlands and Longfields Association which were established in 1947 and 1953 respectively. These were parent-led organisations which campaigned for provision of services and education for their children who had cerebral palsy.
