Teresa Garrido-Tamayo

(She/her)

I am a Visiting Researcher in Speech and Language Sciences at Newcastle University. As part of my recent PhD, supervised by Drs Carolyn Letts and Laurence White, I designed and evaluated a dynamic assessment resource to help identify developmental language disorder (DLD) in UK school-aged children from diverse home language backgrounds. My main research interests include multilingual child language development and enhancing the recognition and support of multilingual children’s communication needs while valuing their multilingualism as a strength.
