Tatiana Gherman

Dr Tatiana Gherman, PhD, PGCertRDS, is an Associate Professor of AI for Business & Strategy at Northampton Business School, University of Northampton, UK. She has over 15 years of teaching and research experience. She earned her PhD in Behavioural Operational Research from the School of Business and Economics (Research Group: Operational Research and Management Science) at Loughborough University, UK, with a fully funded fellowship. Additionally, she possesses executive certificates from the MIT Sloan School of Management (USA) and IIMB Bangalore (India) in analytics-oriented subjects. She is the recipient of various academic honours and awards, including an INFORMS/Springer Researcher Award for her innovative and original research work and approach to studying group decision and negotiation. Her areas of research interest and fields of expertise include Responsible Artificial Intelligence for Business/Machine Learning, Blockchain, Business (Big) Data Science, Soft OR, Human-Computer Interaction, Workplace Studies, Behavioural Studies, and AI Ethics. She has published in various reputable journals and serves as an Associate Editor for several journals. She is a WiDS (Women in Data Science) Ambassador; a member of the prestigious UK OR Society WORAN (Women in OR and Analytics Network); and a representative for the EURO WISDOM (Women in Society Doing OR and Management Science) Forum, associated with EURO – the Association of European OR Societies operating throughout Europe.
