Tariq Ashikhy

Tariq Alshikhy is a PhD Candidate at Bournemouth University. His PhD project investigates the role of soft power in sporting mega-events in enhancing the global reputation and cultural visibility of the host country. His interests are in international sport and event management, soft power, nation branding and sportswashing.

Tariq has participated in different related internal and external conferences and workshops. One of the projects focuses on the role and impact of sporting mega-events in the context of soft power.
