Tarek Alexander Hassan

Tarek Hassan is a Professor of Economics at Boston University and a visiting professor at Harvard University, specializing in international finance, macro-finance, and economic growth. His research examines how uncertainty shapes firm behavior and capital allocation across borders. Hassan’s work has appeared in leading journals such as the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economic Studies, and the Journal of Finance. He has served on the faculty at the University of Chicago and held visiting appointments at Princeton, Stanford, London Business School, the London School of Economics, and Harvard. He is a research fellow at both the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
