Tao Bak is a Senior Adviser in Student Success (Learning) at an Australian university. His work focuses on academic skills development, student transition and learning support for diverse student cohorts. He has previously worked as a lecturer in academic support and holds a PhD on alternative education in Australia. His interests include higher education practice, language and literacy, and contemplative and alternative approaches to education. Tao also holds a Master of Applied Linguistics from the University of Southern Queensland and a Master of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
