My research activities are in cultural heritage, memory and place -based practices, and regional development. Currently I am Project Lead on the AHRC-DCMS funded Cultural Heritage, People and Place project (https://cherpp.mmu.ac.uk/) which seeks to co-develop interdisciplinary approaches for capturing and measuring the value(s) of heritage. I am also Co-Lead on an AHRC funded UK-Germany project exploring historical migrations and archives (http://www.rommig.org/); and I was Project Lead on the ESRC funded Transnational Memory Practices in the UK and South Korea which explored how museums addressing complex memory practices and marginalised histories function as catalysts for learning and critical discussion within local, national, and transnational communities.
