Talita Ekandjo is a lecturer at the Auckland University of Technology Business School, in the Management, Technology and Organisation department. She completed her PhD in information systems at Victoria University of Wellington. She also holds a Master of Information Systems from The University of Melbourne and BBA (Hons) from University of Namibia. Talita's research focuses on human-AI interaction with an emphasis on the role of AI in supporting wellbeing, productivity, and education. Her research to date has explored how AI tools can influence productivity and wellbeing behaviours in the workplace. Talita's current interest lies in exploring AI for mental health, particularly how it could support mental wellbeing for underserved communities. She is also interested in the application and use of AI in education in developing countries like Namibia. In her research work, Talita combines information systems and social sciences theories to explore people's perceptions, views, and behaviours to address productivity and wellbeing challenges.
