Susan Radzilowski

(she her )

I received my MSW degree from the University of Michigan in 1982, where I majored in Interpersonal Practice. With over 40 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to clinical social work with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. I spent more than 20 years as a School Social Worker in Detroit Public Schools in Detroit, Michigan, followed by 8 years as a Mental Health Consultant and Lead Social Worker in a Detroit-based Head Start and Early Head Start Program. During my time in Head Start, I also served as a Field Instructor for MSW students from the University of Michigan.
In 2018, I opened Radzilowski Counseling LLC in Southeast Michigan, where my clinical focus is working with transgender and gender-questioning youth and their families.
I have earned the NASW Michigan Certificate in Gender Identity and Clinical Concerns as well as the NASW Michigan Certificate in Core Supervision.
In addition to my private practice, I am a half-time Clinical Social Worker at Mott Children’s Hospital. I am a LEO Lecturer II in the University of Michigan School of Social Work and a part-time faculty member at Wayne State University, where I teach Professional Writing for Social Workers and Social Work Ethics. At the University of Michigan, I teach Interpersonal Practice courses in the MSW program.
