Susan is a Registered Nurse/ Midwife with over twenty-five years experience working with families in South Australia. She has a background in maternal and infant welfare with an interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island health, having worked on Ngarrindjeri Land for many years. She is currently employed as a Research Midwife at Flinders University. She also has a strong interest in maternal and infant immunisation having completed a Doctoral Thesis on vaccine hesitancy in pregnancy and early parenting. Her current research focus is on optimal outcomes for mothers and babies, through equity of access to culturally safe services.
