Suci Lestari Yuana

Dr. Suci Lestari Yuana is a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, with a research focus on the global politics of sustainability transitions. Her work is positioned at the intersection of International Relations, Sustainability Transition, Science and Technology Studies (STS), and Global South perspectives—bringing critical attention to how innovation, digitalization, and ecological transformation are negotiated in diverse sociopolitical contexts.

Her interdisciplinary scholarship spans the governance of digital platforms, circular economy transitions, innovation policy, and decolonial thought. She holds a PhD in Innovation Studies from the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University, funded by a prestigious scholarship from the Indonesian Ministry of Finance. Her dissertation explored contestation, conflict, and crisis in the platform economy, using the case of Indonesia's ridesharing sector to reframe transition dynamics in the Global South.

In addition to her academic research, Dr. Yuana is the founder of the STAIR Community Indonesia (Sciences, Technology, and Arts in International Relations)—a collaborative learning and research initiative that promotes interdisciplinary dialogue and creative engagement with global issues. Through public forums, creative studios, and student-led projects, the STAIR Community seeks to foreground non-human agency, aesthetics, and technology as integral to international politics.
