- Post-doctoral Teaching Fellow in Literature & Languages, University of Stirling
Stuart Lindsay is a Post-doctoral Teaching Fellow in the Division of Literature & Languages, at Stirling University. In December 2014, he passed his Viva for his thesis entitled Reading Chernobyl: Psychoanalysis, Literature, Deconstruction, which explored the traumatic impact of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster upon its eyewitness survivors. He has presented extensively on the subject, on related topics from first-hand testimonies as documents of psychological trauma, to the ethics of mourning and reconstructing the event via horror fiction.
Stuart is also heavily involved in Gothic Studies. He is the Web Officer of the international Gothic Association, and has an upcoming article in a collection, edited by David Punter, on Gothic and the graphic novel.
