Steven Lindley, Ph.D., is an oceanographer and fish ecologist interested in conservation of marine life and sustainable fisheries. He is a researcher affiliated with the IMS-Fisheries Collaborative Program and Institute of Marine Sciences and is a former director of NOAA's Fisheries Ecology Division and Santa Cruz Laboratory from 2011-2025. He is currently serving on the Delta Stewardship Council's Delta Independent Science Board and the Northwest Power and Conservation Council's Independent Scientific Advisory Board and Independent Scientific Review Group.
