- Research Assistant, University of Strathclyde
I am a Chartered Psychologist, with expertise in the psychology of music – particularly the cultural and commercial impact of the digital revolution on music listening. My specialism is music piracy, and my first book, a co-edited book is due out late 2017 (Digital Piracy: A Global, Multidisciplinary Approach).
My research has mostly focused on music, including the application of music in health and wellbeing contexts. I have however explored many topics, including misinformation and conspiracy theories - both are of contemporary relevance.
The focus of my current research is on the quality of life of individuals living with cancer, and I also have a broader interest in happiness and mindfulness.
I welcome multidisciplinary research opportunities, consultancy work, media interviews, and expertise requests. I am also available for public speaking engagements.
