Steve Boutcher is Research Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Research Affiliate at the Center for Employment Equity. His research focuses on law, organizations, and social change. He is currently conducting research on law students and the role that network inequalities play on their law school experiences and career outcomes. Other recent research investigated sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination in the workplace as well as employment discrimination within the public sector. Recent publications from these projects have been published in Law & Society Review, Law & Social Inquiry, Social Networks, Sexuality Research & Social Policy, Socius, and other outlets. He also recently co-edited the Research Handbook on Law, Movements, and Social Change (Edward Elgar, 2023).
