Steve Sharra, Ph.D.

I am currently Director of Academic Affairs at the Malawi School of Government. My research and teaching interests are in curriculum theory, pedagogy, educational policy, teacher education, language education, peace studies and epistemologies of the south. I have previously been Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Education, Social Sciences and Technology at Unicaf University Malawi, and Director of Research and Publications at the Catholic University of Malawi. I have previously also taught at the University of Botswana, Michigan State University, and Baker College of Owosso in Michigan.

I hold a Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching and Educational Policy from Michigan State University, an M.A. in English Education form the University of Iowa, and a Teacher's Certificate from Lilongwe Teacher Training College. I am an alumni of the Programme for African Leadership (PfAL) at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
