Stephen Harper

Stephen Harper is Associate Professor in Critical Media Studies at the University of Portsmouth. His research focuses on two main areas: the cultural representation of mental distress; and screen images of war. He is the author of many articles and chapters, as well as several books, including Madness, Power and the Media (Palgrave 2009) and Screening Bosnia: Gender, Geopolitics and Nationalism in Film and Television Images of the 1992-1995 War.
