I’m an Associate Professor of Psychology at Wellesley College, and I study how families navigate achievement, race, and social status. I'm also a fellow in Northeastern University’s Sacred Writes Program on public scholarship in religion.

I’ve worked with Asian American families for more than two decades across research, educational, and community settings. My research has produced over 40 peer-reviewed publications, including articles in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, and other top journals. My research has been supported by the National Science Foundation and the American Psychological Foundation, and recognized with awards from the Society for Research in Child Development and the Asian American Psychological Association.
