Stephanie Dennison

Stephanie Dennison is a Professor of Brazilian Studies and a founding member of the Centre for World Cinemas and Digital Cultures at the University of Leeds (UK). She has published widely on both World Cinema and Brazilian cultural history, with a focus on film culture. She is author of Remapping Brazilian Film Culture in the 21st Century (Routledge 2020) and co-editor with Laura Canepa of Brazilian Horror Cinema in the 21st Century: Neofascism, Disaffection, Resistance (Tamesis 2025). In 2025 she was a Senior Fellow at Mecila/USP in Brazil.
