Steffan James

I am a doctoral candidate in logistics and operations management, researching the unintended consequences of sustainability initiatives in supply chains. My work examines how efforts to improve environmental and social performance can produce unexpected effects across different industries, and explores why these outcomes arise. More broadly, I am interested in how the goods and services that support modern society can be provided without harmful ecological, social, or economic impacts. My research is multidisciplinary, and I hold degrees in Physics with Astrophysics, Aeronautical Engineering, International Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Social Science Research Methods, and Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
