I am a Senior Lecturer in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Auckland Business School. My research focuses on how and when innovative solutions emerge through collaborations between diverse individuals and organizations. These partnerships can include Kiwifruit growers working with food researchers in agriculture, interdisciplinary teams combining Arts and Computer Science backgrounds in Data Analytics, and joint efforts between management consultants and engineers. While the differing knowledge, values, and aspirations of these individuals and organizations can be a source of conflict, they also provide a foundation for innovations that make a real difference. The better understanding of how to foster more generative collaborations that my research provides is crucial for driving progress and creating impactful, sustainable solutions.
