I am an environmental microbiologist that uses DNA-based technologies to understand ecosystems and environmental damage caused by anthropogenic activities. I am also a Research Associate at the Arctic Institute of North America, where I focus on the uptake and application of DNA-based research and information in the northern context, as it related to policymaking around biodiversity, conservation, food security, and other environmental issues.
