Srebrenka Letina

Srebrenka is a social psychologist and network scientist whose work focuses on understanding how social networks shape and are shaped by psychological processes, health behaviours, and social influence. Her research combines theories from social psychology with methods from network science, computational social science, and advanced quantitative statistics to study how relationships between individuals interact with personal attributes such as attitudes, personality, and wellbeing.
Srebrenka is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology at the University of Limerick. Before joining Limerick, she worked as a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow in the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit. She previously held postdoctoral positions at the Linköping University and at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where she conducted interdisciplinary research combining sociology, psychology, and network science. Her research has also involved international collaborations and visiting positions at institutions including the University of Amsterdam, the Complexity Science Hub Vienna, and the University of Melbourne.
Srebrenka holds two PhDs: a PhD in Network Science from the Central European University and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Zagreb. Her work sits at the intersection of social psychology, computational social science, and network analysis, with a strong emphasis on developing and applying quantitative methods to study complex social systems.
Research interests: Social networks and complex systems; the interplay between network structures and individual attributes; social influence, contagion, and selection processes; psychological and health-related behaviours in networks; computational social science; analytical sociology; advanced quantitative and statistical methods for network data; personality and social psychological processes in relational contexts.
