Associate Professor Sonny Pham is an expert in Artificial Intelligence at Curtin University, specialising in the development of computationally efficient deep learning architectures and Responsible AI for high-impact applications in health and industry. As the lead of the IAMAI research group and the Chair of the IEEE Computer Society WA Chapter, his work focuses on translating cutting-edge research into real-world solutions, from X-ray diagnostic tools like Aura-CXR to novel systems assisting clinicians to diagnose children with speech sound disorders. Beyond his academic contributions, A/Prof. Pham is a proven innovator and entrepreneur, having successfully co-founded two tech start-ups, iCetana and HyprFire, demonstrating a strong commitment to bridging the gap between deep learning theory and practical, commercial application.
